John joined Smith Patrick, P.C. in February 2022 and has more than twenty years’ experience providing business valuations of closely held businesses for estate, gift, income tax, shareholder disputes and employee stock ownership plans; forensic accounting; litigation support for marital dissolutions; and economic damage measurements from personal injury, wrongful death, professional malpractice, and employment discrimination. John drafts and research approximately 30 valuations annually for litigation, estate tax, and business acquisition purposes. He has extensive experience in divorce litigation consulting involving forensic accounting of investment accounts for separate or marital property attributes, divorce litigation consulting involving cash flow analyses of the parties, and calculating and analyzing maintenance and child support payments.
